Something to think about

When you read Psalm 90 what do you find? It is a simple prayer of Moses, the man of God. A short 17 verses. This prayer could conceivable be prayed by me or you. As Moses ends the prayer, he simply ask God to "establish the work of our hands."

Happy New Year Church Street Members and Friends!

This New Year of 2011 has begun and we are alive to see it as well as to experience all that God has planned for us. Praise the Lord!

Both as individuals, families and as a church family…this year offers us new opportunities. This is a natural time for new ideas, new directions, and new approaches to old ideas. While we need to talk about where we have been and where we are, this New Year should be a launching pad for a word about what God wants us to do and where God wants us to go. While some may be more concerned about recreating the past, we must be committed to seizing today and reaching for tomorrow. What better time than today…to focus upon the possibilities of victories in the present and in the future and not merely to rehash the pain of failures in the past.

This is a time of vision, motivation, and progress. God has great things in store for us as individuals, as families and as a church. Therefore, with one accord, let’s pray and work together, with all our might, to realize God’s vision for us.

“Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.” (3rd John Verse 2, NIV)
